The difference between computer games and reality

Sakura: I can't believe Guy #1, who agreed to try to fix my computer, blew me off to play some computer game with his friend (Guy #2). Have you heard of Halo ?

Friend: No.

Friend and Sakura promptly google Halo and discover it's a video game involving guns and machines.

Sakura: I got blow off for a video game ?

Friend: I don't know. It's suppose to have good graphics.

Sakura: A computer game is suppose to be more fun than possibly flirting with a female? Where are his priorities ?

Friend: He's a guy; sometimes there's no why behind it. Think about it this way: should he play Halo, a game where he's guaranteed to get some satisfaction out of it, or hang out with a girl he barely knows ?

Sakura: The girl, of course, because at least then he would have had the potential for a hookup or future date instead of staring sharp pointy objects (or things blowing up) on a tv screen.

To men who use their (male) friends as an excuse to say he's not interested in a woman, being subtle is the key: don't offer to help in the first place if you don't mean it. Having a third wheel in the room isn't a good excuse to avoid the girl; it makes you appear rude.

To women who think they can upgrade the moderate-somewhat-kinda cute guys to somewhat-kinda cute (or kinda cute): don't. There's a reason why they're single.
